eMoodie Limited proposes to create a mental health smartphone application that focuses on stress and burnout relief for employees. The app -- called eMoodie Minds -- addresses systematic weaknesses of current market solutions which typically provide generic advice and interventions and so fail to tailor their content to users' complex symptom profiles and mental health needs. Moreover, mental health apps often are poorly designed, leading to abysmal user retention rates for most. Indeed, average 30-day user retention rates are as low as 3.3%. eMoodie Minds aims to tackle this market failure by offering next-generation, AI-driven screening and assessment services that come in a gamified platformed. Our product development follows user-centred design best-practices. The algorithms which constitute our core IP have been painstakingly developed and clinically validated throughout the course of our founder's six-year long PhD and can detect symptoms of common mental health problems (depression, anxiety, society anxiety, and sleep problems) at a high degree of accuracy. This approach leverages AI in combination with self-reported symptom data, smartphone sensing metrics, and vocal digital biomarkers. By combining these state-of-the-art assessment capabilities with gamified evidence-based interventions from clinical psychology and psychiatry, we believe that eMoodie Minds has the potential to propel digital mental health solutions to the next level of user engagement satisfaction and in doing, increase mental wellbeing outcomes in the UK's modern workforce. eMoodie is very much a mission led company such that, once our platform is developed, we intend to make eMoodie Minds' digital intervention suite available to the third sector and offer our product at pro-bono rates for those accessing community-based, and crisis-focused mental health services.
